Ceiling Paint: The Various Shades of White
To make your house with updated or rejuvenated look throughout, you need to paint it at constant intervals. The painting can be done partly or for the entire house depending on the necessity. That too, if the surface is flat without molding or paint chipped.
The ceilings are generally painted in white colour which is undoubtedly a good pick. But there are various colours of white and you need to decide on which white to be painted that will go with your other walls. Various hues are available like warm toned white to white with cool blue. Hence it is very important for you to decide on the suitable shade of white.
All the ceilings are of not the same height and if the ceiling of your house is not of the standard height, it is advisable for you to choose the shade that is lighter than the walls that will project your ceiling as of normal height. It is also not necessary that you should choose only white paint as your choice for ceiling. When you paint your ceiling with contrast colour, it will add some exhilaration to your hall or room.
Proper care has to be taken to the other places or parts of the walls before commencement of painting of the ceiling. You need to cover the walls with a thick cloth or something equivalent to it that will protect the wall from the droplets of ceiling paint. The curtains and any wall hangings have to be removed. Any furniture lying on the room have to be taken away. On the other hand, if the furniture are too heavy to be disturbed, the same can be shifted to the centre of the room and covered properly. The floor area has to be kept vacant to have easy access to the ceiling.
It is easy to paint the ceiling and the walls at one time, even though they are of different colours. When you paint the complete area, you need to start from the ceiling and then proceed to other parts of the walls. Proper care has to be taken to protect the lights and also other fixtures that are fitted on ceiling when it is not possible to remove them.
